Department of Agricultural, Food, Environmental and Animal Sciences
The Department of Agricultural, Food, Environmental and Animal Sciences (DI4A) is characterized by the value associated with the breadth of aggregated expertise and a strong interdisciplinary approach aimed at promoting and disseminating knowledge in a wide range of disciplinary fields.
DI4A encompasses ERC sectors ranging from Life Sciences (LS1, LS2, LS9), Social and Human Sciences (SH1, SH3), Chemical Sciences (PE4, PE5), and Earth Sciences (PE10), corresponding to CUN areas 03, (04), 05, and 07, and collaborates with research institutions and universities in Italy and abroad.
Research activities are organized around the above-mentioned areas, inspired by three keywords: quality, uniqueness, and innovation. In particular, the Department aims to achieve high-quality standards in research by promoting exploratory and innovative activities, supporting research competitiveness nationally and internationally, and increasing the number of researchers involved in competitive projects.
