Camilla Moonen Guest Speaker at the ERSA and AIAB FVG Seminar

"Organic Farming to Face Climate Change", strategies for adapting agricultural practices to climate uncertainty

On November 26th, 2024, the seminar titled "L'Agricoltura Biologica per Affrontare il Cambiamento Climatico", i.e. “Organic Farming to Face Climate Change” was held in Udine. The event was organized by ERSA, the Regional Agency for Rural Development of Friuli Venezia Giulia, in collaboration with AIAB FVG, the Italian Association of Organic Farming in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The seminar brought together experts, researchers, and technicians to discuss the challenges posed by climate change and the potential strategies for adapting agricultural practices. Among the speakers, Anna Camilla Moonen, Associate Professor at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa and leader for the SSSA in the LEGITA project, stood out for her contribution.

Key topics addressed during the meeting included crop resilience, water resource management, and strategies to mitigate the effects of climate change, emphasizing the importance of innovative and sustainable approaches for the future of agriculture.
