The LEGITA Project presented at SIA-2024

The first results of the LEGITA project were presented at the 53rd Congress of the Italian Society of Agronomy, focused on "Resource management in the innovation of agri-food chains," held in Matera from September 11 to 13, 2024. Dr. Gabriele Nerucci delivered an elevator pitch titled "Chickpea and common wheat intercropping for supporting agroecological weed control," highlighting strategies for reducing weed competition in chickpea cultivation through intercropping with common wheat in Tuscany and Friuli Venezia Giulia. The presentation garnered significant interest, sparking numerous questions and discussions regarding the experimental approach.
